This past Sunday was our Spring | Summer Wedding Show and a perfect day to start planning a wedding. At 9 am it was 70 degrees and not a cloud in sight; Paramount opened its doors and we began preparing for the day. Setting up for a wedding show is much like setting up for a wedding, with much less pressure! All of our vendors trickled in and began on their individual tasks. When people starting arriving around noon we were excited to get started and meet all of the couples. After checking in, the guests were greeted by our in house coordinator, Jennifer, who gave them an overview on our venue and services.
Then our guests entered into our Pine Room which was set up as a small ceremony in whites, beiges, and greenery. FauxReal Flowers created beautiful arrangements to showcase our outdoor arbor while Androgyny Music played the violin. Shine Bright Like a Diamond Luxury displayed custom accessories, Michael Williams Photography showcased his work, and Ann Mckenzie helped guests learn more about working with an officiant.
Guests then moved into our Magnolia Suite where they were met by Artistry by Angela, a talented makeup artist, and Gavin Christianson Bridal, a bridal shop in Downtown Durham with gorgeous gowns. Next stop was the bar provided by Rocky Top Catering. The most popular drinks were the Social Butterfly and Peach Sangria. Both were signature cocktails served in fun, blue and pink glasses from American Party Rentals.
And last but not least, our guests entered the Dogwood Ballroom which had Island Sound Dj playing music, beautiful display tables courtesy of American Party Rentals and FauxReal Flowers, backdrops from Revel NC, a photo booth from Zim Zoom Photo Booth, amazing catering and a stunning cake from Cake Couture, outdoor entertainment from Triangle Lawn Games, photography by Southern Belle Photography, Videography by September Photos, and accommodation information from Hyatt Brier Creek.
You couldn't ask for a better line up of vendors. Our couples spent the afternoon sipping cocktails, trying different catering options (the deconstructed bbq sliders on hushpuppies were a crowd favorite) and listening to great music and while planning their events in a stress-free way.
